For using on your traditional oilskin garments (not dry oilskin)
Treating.
1. Use the block of wax by rubbing it with long, gentle strokes against the fabric, applying a thin, even layer.
2. Heating. To impregnate the wax into the fabric, use an iron set on single or double dot heat settings.
Don¡¯t steam. Ensure the iron is clean before ironing other garments. Alternatively you can heat the wax with a hairdryer. The wax has a melting point of 56-60C (131-140F)
3. Layers. The process can be repeated several times to improve the water repellent performance, especially the shoulders and rear of jackets, knees of trousers.
To remove the wax, wash garments at 35-40C(104F)
